Northeastern University London today announced that it will, for the first time, be offering its MSc Computer Science (Software Development) with a January start date from January 2023. 

Designed to prepare students for a variety of careers in computer science, the MSc Computer Science (Software Development) masters programme explores wide-ranging disciplines including programming, design, algorithms, software engineering, data management, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The programme delivers practical experience in applying  state-of-the-art software engineering methods, tools and techniques to solve  substantial, real-world problems, with support from industry mentors. and dedicated faculty supervisors. 

Northeastern University London’s teaching faculty comprises high-calibre academics with publications at top-tier international conferences and industry experience in areas including machine learning, computer systems, quantum computing, and data science.

Studying at the University’s state-of-the-art campus close to London’s Central Business District & East London Tech City provides exciting opportunities for students to network with our partner-employers in the technology and public sector, and to secure part-time work to fit around their studies, if desired. Students will also benefit from support of the University’s dedicated Careers Advisors and comprehensive employability provision, combined with introductions and networking opportunities with London-based alumni from our partner institution Northeastern University.

International students enrolling into Northeastern University London’s Msc Computer Science programme in January 2023, will be offered a tuition fee scholarship worth £7,000, reducing the full-time international student tuition fee to £16,000 (from the usual £23,000). While home students will be offered a scholarship worth £2,000, and may be eligible for home student Postgraduate Student Loan of £11,836 from Student Finance England

The University can sponsor students for a Tier 4 international student visa, which allows full-time students to work part-time in the UK. The programme also offers the opportunity for graduates to stay and work in the UK for up to two years after graduation via the Graduate Route Post Study Work Permit . In addition, spouses and children under 18 years old are also eligible to apply and come to the UK as student dependents. Dependents will be allowed to work full-time and will be able to switch to the graduate route dependent visa from within the UK.
