Introducing Virtual Activities
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and in order to ensure the safety of our staff and your students, and to minimise the risk of infection, face-to-face outreach on campus and at schools is paused until further notice.
As a result, we have created informative videos combined with complimentary activity booklets that you can use in your classroom, and an optional virtual Q&A session with a member of our team.
The recommended class structure of our activities comprises a ten to a twenty-minute video on a specific topic followed by a ten-minutes live Q&A or the completion of an activity booklet.
To schedule a live online Q&A please email hayley.pazmino@nchlondon.ac.uk
Our Virtual Topics
Career opportunities for humanities and social sciences graduates
Many advisors from our FE college and school partners, have raised the struggle they face to encourage students to pursue a humanities degree, even when students enjoy studying the subject. Students express concerns about a lack of “direct” career pathway for humanities graduates compared to STEM subjects such as medicine, dentistry, and engineering.
Created in collaboration with our careers department, this film unpacks the transferable and applicable skills that are gained through studying a humanities or social sciences degree and the plethora of careers sectors that are open to graduates.
The art of writing a successful personal statement
Starting a personal statement for UCAS can be daunting and students often find it hard to know where to start. Our video and complimentary activity booklet will help springboard your students into hypergraphia.
In this film, our Admissions Manager shares pivotal information on how to structure a personal statement for success. In addition, our personal statement activity booklet will put the acquired knowledge into practice and support effective planning.
Understanding student finance
Often students are prevented from continuing their higher education studies due to a lack of understanding university affordability and the student finance system. Our student finance film breaks down tuition and maintenance loans and repayment into digestible chunks that will help eliminate the stigma around “student debt”.
