  • Household income £18,001 to £42,000: £2,000 bursary
  • Household income £42,001 to £42,875: £1,000 bursary

Students who are estranged from their parents and/or guardians and are thus independent, or students under Local Authority Care, may be eligible for a further bursary award of up to £1,000 in addition to any standard bursary award. Additional documentation may be requested to prove a student’s estrangement or care leaver status.

You can take your bursary as cash to help with your living costs, to help pay your accommodation, or even to help with tuition fees. It is up to you how you choose to use your bursary. Bursary funds will be disbursed in three payments over the academic year.

You can apply directly for a bursary here.   (Please only fill out this form if you are a home fees student)

If you are applying to SLC (or other national schemes) for a maintenance loan, please select the option to share financial information with Northeastern University London as the institution you choose to enrol with. In such cases, we will automatically have access to most, if not all, of the necessary evidence regarding your financial circumstances. You will still be required to submit the above application in order to commence the assessment process.

Please note that in some cases, we may require additional information in order to carry out our assessment. If this applies, you will be contacted.

How student finance works

Maintenance loans for Home students

Students who are resident and settled in England may be eligible for a maintenance loan from the Student Loans Company. The amount of loan you receive will vary according to your household income. You can use your loan to pay for accommodation and living costs such as transportation and food. For further details on maintenance loan amount and eligibility, please visit gov.uk/student-finance.

Paying your fees

We are happy to receive payment of your fees in one lump sum, by term or by monthly Direct Debit. Your fee schedule will show the termly payments as they seem to be the most popular options amongst our students but do not hesitate to contact the finance team on finance@nulondon.ac.uk should you wish to arrange monthly payments.
