Graduation 2024

We are delighted to formally invite you to our Graduation Ceremony for Postgraduate students, Apprentices and Multiverse students. This will be held on Wednesday the 6th of March at The Barbican.. Please see the information below to help you plan your day.

Graduating students and their guests will need to arrive at The Barbican from 11:30 and follow the signposts to the gowning and photography in The Barbican’s Garden Room. Morning refreshments will take place in the Garden Room for all students and guests. Information on how to get to The Barbican can be found in the ‘Getting to The Barbican Centre’ section below.

Your guests will need to take their seats in The Barbican Cinema 1 at 13:15, for the ceremony to commence at 13:30. The ceremony will last approximately 60 minutes and will be followed by a drinks and canapé reception in the Barbican Conservatory from 14:30. Further information, such as the order of awards, will be shared with graduating students and their guests on the day.

Postgraduate students can get their gowns and caps from the Ede & Ravenscroft website. You will need your student ID and surname to login. Please note that your student ID is not the number in your email address. The deadline for academic dress hire is February 6th, 2024.

Apprentice and Multiverse students will be contacted in the new year about their academic dress. Please look out for an email from the graduation team in January.

On the day of the ceremony, gowns will need to be returned by 16:00 in The Garden Room. There will be a gown drop off point.

Entry to the ceremony requires a ticket for both graduating students and their guests. Tickets for graduating students and their guests are free of charge. These can be secured via the Ede & Ravenscroft website when you complete your gown hire. Each student is allotted up to 3 guest tickets but more may be made available after the registration closing date.

The deadline to register and claim guest tickets is February 6th, 2024.

To request additional tickets, please email graduation@nulondon.ac.uk. Additional tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis however it is not guaranteed that additional tickets will be made available.

Seating in The Barbican Cinema 1 is not assigned for guests unless they have access requirements. Please see the ‘Accessibility and Further Information’ section below. 

Seating for students however will be assigned as per their course. 

Photography of individual graduates and their guests will be provided by Ede & Ravenscroft. You can purchase photography online at the same time as your tickets and gown on the Ede & Ravenscroft website. Photography can also be purchased on the day of the ceremony, however we recommend purchasing it ahead of time to avoid delays and to guarantee a photograph. These photographs are shipped to your home address after the ceremony. 

All graduates are requested to stay back after the ceremony for a group photo.

At the reception in the Barbican Conservatory and Garden Room, there will be a roaming photographer taking instant print photos, this service is free of charge.

Please nominate a student speaker from the postgraduate students this form.

For further information on getting to The Barbican, please see The Barbican website. Gowning, photography will take place in The Garden Room – this is where you will need to head to when you arrive. There will be Student Ambassadors in place to guide you and your guests. The Ceremony will take place in The Barbican Cinema 1 and the Drinks reception will take place in the Conservatory. A free cloakroom will be available outside The Garden Room.
