Northeastern University London at Northeastern is a UK Dev Awards finalist

We are delighted to announce that we are a UK Dev Awards finalist for our BSc Data Science and BSc Digital & Technology Solutions apprenticeships!

In partnership with ServiceNow, Northeastern University London has created world-first apprenticeships in Data Science and Digital & Technology Solutions. The apprenticeship programmes offer learners highly sought-after ServiceNow certifications, alongside putting their knowledge into practice in a work environment and earning a wage.

Launched in October 2020, Northeastern University London has seen incredible growth and success from the programmes with 100% employer satisfaction and has secured Tech Industry Gold status. All those who enrolled since October 2020 have remained on the programme and we have seen employers taking on more and more apprentices per year. We have also seen learners achieve outstanding results, with 77% completing their first year with a 1st or 2:1. 

The demand for ServiceNow skills are rapidly growing inline with platform growth. Our apprenticeships unlock opportunities for employers to develop these skills in-house, saving money on hiring and training, whilst allowing learners to gain a degree without the debt. 

The innovative, flexible delivery of the programmes makes them unique, allowing learners to study at a time that suits both them and their employer. The courses include an intensive residential teaching week at our brand-new state-of-the-art London campus once per year. Outside of this, learners study cutting-edge online content and participate in small group seminars for the equivalent of 1 day per week. 

Ultimately the flexibility, exceptional learner support and accessibility of the apprenticeships have contributed to their success. The programmes have revolutionalised how organisations access ServiceNow skills and have encouraged diversity across ServiceNow practices, making a difference to those who did not have the opportunity to earn a degree via the traditional route. 

We are extremely proud to be nominated for this award and we hope it will shine a spotlight on innovative, industry-education collaborations, paving the way for similar endeavours.
