Apply for Finance (For Home Students)

We are committed to providing help to students requiring financial assistance to complete their studies.

Apply for a Bursary:

Northeastern University London offers means-tested bursaries to Home students depending on household income. The University awards bursaries on a yearly basis and at three levels: 

• Household income up to £18,000: £3,000
• Household income £18,001 to £30,000: £2,000
• Household income £30,001 to £42,875: £1,000 

*bursary household income level requirements may be subject to change

Students who are estranged from their parents and/or guardians and are thus independent, or under Local Authority Care, may be eligible for a further bursary award of up to £1,000 in addition to any standard bursary award. You can take your bursary as a reduction in tuition fees OR as a bank transfer payment in GBP to help with your living costs, or to help pay your accommodation, for example. It is completely up to you how you choose to use your bursary award.

Students who apply to the Student Loans Company (SLC) for both tuition fee and maintenance loans can elect to share their financial information with the institution they have chosen to enrol with. In such cases, we will automatically have access to most, if not all, of the necessary evidence regarding your financial circumstances. Please note that you will still be required to submit an application in order to commence the assessment process. In some cases, we may also require additional information in order to carry out our assessment. If this applies to you, you will be contacted. In the event that you are not eligible to apply for a government maintenance loan, you may still be eligible to receive a Northeastern University London bursary.
