Biography
Dr Lynette Thompson is an Associate Professor in Psychology at Northeastern University London. She has a MA and PhD in Psychology from the University of South Africa. She has taught and lectured in South Africa, the US and the UK. She is a Chartered Psychologist (CPsychol) with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a Senior Fellow with Advance HE.

Research
Both her masters and doctorate degrees have been in educational psychology with a particular focus on special needs education. Previous research conducted was on the psychological effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on academics in public and private higher education institutions. Her current research interests involve topics on the decolonisation of the Psychology curriculum.

Lynette has taught a range of courses including Foundational Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology, Research Methods in Psychology, Child Development and Inclusive Education.
