What to do when you receive your visa

As soon as you receive your visa, you should notify Northeastern University London’s Visa Compliance team via email to visa@nulondon.ac.uk.

If you meet all the conditions of your student visa, you will receive a Decision Email confirming your digital immigration status (visa) when your visa is granted which will provide all the information about your visa.

You can view and prove your immigration status, via the ‘view and prove your immigration status‘ online service, which requires your UKVI login details. This service provides a secure record and proof of your immigration status which is held digitally by the Home Office.

  • You should forward your Decision Email to Northeastern University London’s Visa Compliance team via email to visa@nulondon.ac.uk
  • You should also generate a share code through the ‘view and prove your immigration’ service and send it to your assigned visa compliance officer.

The Visa Compliance team will review your digital immigration status to ensure that all details within your digital visa are correct before you arrive in the UK. If you find an error on your digital visa, please email the Visa Compliance team immediately on visa@nulondon.ac.uk.
