Get up to £100 towards your travel
We are delighted to offer generous travel funding for all students attending our open day on Saturday 14th June 2025.
Prospective students are eligible for funding worth up to £100, comprising up to £50 towards your travel and up to £50 towards travel for a guest. This funding can be used for any form of travel in economy class, or mileage for travel by car.
Important information
Travel costs will be reimbursed after attendance at the open day. Information on how to claim will be sent by email and appear on this webpage on Monday 16 June.
• When planning your journey you should book the cheapest ticket (economy-class) and the most direct route to the university
• All expense claims must be supported with valid receipts
• You must submit your claim within two weeks of attending the 14th June open day
• We can only cover travel costs of up to £100 – up to £50 for you and up to £50 for a guest
Enhanced travel support
If you meet additional eligibility criteria, you may be entitled to enhanced travel funding opportunities of up to £150.
You must be a UK (Home domiciled student) and also meet one of the following criteria to qualify for financial support:
• You attend an aspiring state school or college. Click here to download the excel sheet for the full list of eligible schools.
• You have been in/or are currently under Local Authority Care
• You are estranged from your parents or guardians
• You are eligible for free school meals (FSM)
• You are a forced migrant, refugee or asylum seeker
• You are a young adult carer
• You live in an area of lower progression to higher education or high deprivation (we will assess this on your home postcode)
