Biography

Associate Professor specialising in Management Information Systems and Project Management, earned his PhD in E-commerce. His responsibilities encompass lecturing, leading courses, validating and planning syllabi, redesigning courses, updating content, conducting seminars, and engaging in research and other scholarly activities.

Dr Safieddine has over 25 years of experience in Higher Education. He is a Member of the British Computer Society (MBCS) and has played a significant role in accrediting university BIS programs. He is highly regarded by students for his delivery, organisation, and content, having been rated as one of the best lecturers. He was a finalist for the best lecturer of the year in London in 2013 and 2014 and received the Outstanding Contribution to University Life award in 2015. Additionally, he won the ACE EDI award in 2020, the Innovative Teaching award in 2021, and the Wellness Champion award in 2023. His teaching philosophy integrates various E-media technologies while maintaining personal face-to-face interactions with students.

Dr. Safieddine is a researcher focused on applying technology in education, sustainability in Higher Education, combating online misinformation, and data fusion. He has numerous international academic publications and has contributed to books, chapters, and research funding. His research was included in the Research Excellence Framework (REF 2021) and is under consideration for the 2027 REF.
