Biography


Fulvio Lopane is an Assistant Professor in Transport Planning in the Centre for Apprenticeships at Northeastern University London. Fulvio has an undergraduate degree in civil and environmental engineering, and both a MSc and PhD in Civil Engineering, with a specialisation in multi-objective spatial optimisation of infrastructure services. At Northeastern, he teaches on topics across the bradth and depth of transport planning.

Research


Fulvio explores the intersection of urban science, mobility systems, and sustainable infrastructure. His research spans a range of topics including sustainable and resilient infrastructure networks, human mobility, urban modelling, and the development of spatial optimisation frameworks, spatial interaction platforms, and land use analysis tools. His work focuses on designing and evaluating transport networks that are resilient, equitable, and responsive to the evolving needs of urban populations.
