Biography
Professor Kasim Randeree is Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs at Northeastern University London, Professor of Higher Education & Leadership and Business Management, and Affiliate Professor at D’Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University (Boston, MA, USA).
He has worked in university lectureships, research and senior university leadership roles for more than thirty years. After completing his PhD, Professor Randeree went on to work as Research Fellow at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford and Kellogg College, Oxford, the universities of Manchester, Hull, Coventry and Lincoln in the UK and spent a decade internationally at The British University in Dubai, UAE University and The American University in Dubai, along with visiting faculty and research posts at universities in North Africa, the Arabian Gulf and Southeast Asia.
Professor Randeree is Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, has completed the AdvanceHE Strategic Leadership programme, Member of The Institute of Leadership and Certified Management and Business Educator from the Chartered Association of Business Schools. As Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs and as a member of the university’s Senior Management Group, he has strategic and operational responsibility for all faculty staff.
Research
Professor Randeree specialises in the intersection of Islamic economies, jurisprudence and international leadership. His research explores the socio-economic dynamics of Muslim societies, examining the drivers of the Islamic economy and the challenges within its eco-systems. His interdisciplinary approach blends policy insights with cultural and economic analysis. His expertise further extends to labour market analysis, migrant worker perceptions, and workforce nationalisation, primarily focussing on the Arabian Gulf region. An award-winning author, he serves on the Editorial Board for the International Journal of Islamic and Middle Eastern Finance and Management and as associate editor for several prestigious management journals. He has secured substantial research funding from institutions such as Harvard Kennedy School, The Qatar Foundation and Oxford University, and his extensive work with public sector organisations across the Middle East and Southeast Asia has produced over 100 peer-reviewed publications, including journal articles, books and monographs, since 1994.
