Biography


Odile Jordan is a History PhD Candidate at Northeastern University London. She uses a mix of archival research, digital technologies and creative practices to rediscover the Asian migrant presence in 19th century London. Key areas of interest include countermapping, Black geographies and critical fabulation. She has been a research assistant on the Mapping Black London project at Northeastern since 2022, and received her BA (Hons) in Philosophy with Creative Writing in 2024. She is the published author of poetry and short fiction, and speaks fluent English and Dutch.
