Biography


Omar is Assistant Professor of Economics at Northeastern University London where he teaches a range of courses in Macroeconomics and Econometrics. He has also taught Macroeconomics at Northeastern University in Boston

Qualifications

Omar received his Doctorate in Economics from King’s College London, prior to which he read Economics at the University of Cambridge and Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at the University of London.

Research


Omar has special interests in empirical macroeconomics and time-series analysis and has had work published in peer reviewed journals. In particular, his thesis focused on the natural rate of interest and optimal monetary policy. He regularly presents his research at well established conferences across Europe.
