Biography

Dr. Priyan Khakhar is head of International Business (IB) at Northeastern University London and affiliate Faculty with the International Business and Strategy Group at D’Amore-McKim School of Business in Boston, Massachusetts.

He has taught courses in IB, Marketing, Management, Advertising and Research Methodology in previous roles, such as, at the American University of Beirut.

He has gained valuable international experience working at Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (ESCP) involving projects in the UK, Germany and France. He has also taught within the Strategy and International Business Division at the Alliance Manchester Business School (AMBS) at the University of Manchester for an extensive period after his MSc (UMIST), and during his PhD. Dr. Khakhar has attended and presented academic papers at prestigious peer-reviewed academic conferences in the USA, Singapore and Malaysia and the UK. His research includes impact factor publications such as in the International Business Review, Journal of Transnational Management, Critical Perspectives on International Business and the Journal of Change Management. Priyan is a member of the Academy of International Business.

Dr. Khakhar also lead a student team for a US State Department-funded project by Meta Inc (Facebook); where his School was picked as Lebanon’s official entry to an international competition, as part of an innovative youth-centred pedagogical learning course that embraced experiential learning in a competition format. Working with, and leading his students, his team placed in the top three globally, in developing a campaign to tackle online religious hate speech and racism.
