Biography
Dr Rebecca Maccabe is an Assistant Professor in Professional Education and Associate Director of Experiential & Careers in Humanities and Social Sciences at Northeastern University London. She has a PhD in Educational Research and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She is heavily involved in integrating real-world learning into the classroom and giving students complex global problems to solve in a local context. She works across all disciplines, offering interdisciplinary electives to undergraduate students seeking real-world classroom experience. She fosters challenge-based learning in her pedagogical practice and regularly liaises with external partners to help bridge the gap between education and industry.

Teaching
Rebecca is currently course leader for the experiential courses at NU London. These courses foster interdisciplinary and external partner-engaged teaching and learning to model how people with different expertise and experiences work together to address the important issues of our time.
