Biography

Effective the 1st of March 2023 I was appointed chairman of Price Forbes/ Specialty placement for Ardonagh Specialty. Previously from January 2020 I was the CEO of Price Forbes, and oversaw a period of dramatic change and growth, during which our organic revenues doubled and profit quadrupled

I implemented an extensive restructuring of 36 divisions in to 6 pillars and spearheaded investment of key individuals and teams into the core and new areas of the business to complement and drive growth. We acquired Corant in December 2021 and I spent much of 2022 involved in managing and integrating some of their teams alongside and into our business. This process is largely complete.

I have had numerous senior roles within Price Forbes, specifically Deputy CEO from 2017 to 2019, Head of North America 2014 to 2017, CEO of Bermuda 2009 to 2014. I was a leader of the 2006 MBO of Price Forbes from Marsh. And before that from 1997 to 2004 I was a board member and Head of Casualty of Prentis Donegan, which we sold to Marsh in 2004. I started my career in 1984 with Sedgwick Group in their Norwich office and worked my way up to London through claims, policy work, placing, and production; and latterly was a Director of Sedgwick North America.

Instrumental in the creation of Sedgwick’s transportation practice. Most of my broking years have been spent producing and marketing of complex North American liability accounts, with specialty underwriters in London, Bermuda and the USA. Transportation risks – Rail and Trucking being some of my specialist areas. I have traveled exhaustively and lived in New York, Dallas and Bermuda at various stages of my career.
