Biography
Silan is an architect and educator with over 15 years of international experience spanning New York, San Francisco, Hong Kong, and London. Silan is currently a Lecturer in Architecture at Northeastern’s London Campus where she teaches Architectonic Systems. Her teaching practice centers on studio-based design pedagogy, construction technology, and sustainable building practices.
Silan has worked at leading architectural practices across three continents, delivering projects throughout the United States, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. Her portfolio spans scales from bespoke furniture and art installations to high-end residential design, multi-family housing, large-scale mixed-use developments, and master planning.
Silan holds a Master of Architecture from Princeton University and is a registered architect in New York and Florida, a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
