Biography

Dr Waleed Iqbal is an Assistant Professor in Data Science. He joined Northeastern University London in 2025. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Queen Mary University of London. His research interests are broadly in Manifestation of Socio-Economic Inequalities in Online User Activity.

Previously, he worked as Teaching Fellow at Queen Mary University of London, and as affiliated researcher and research associate at IHSAN Lab in Information Technology University Lahore, Pakistan. Waleed has also advised several startups and growing software development houses as Consultant for Machine Learning and Natural language Processing (NLP) based infrastructure deployments.

Currently, Waleed is serving as course leader and instructor for multiple Level 7 Postgraduate courses including Advanced Data Engineering, Web Services, Machine Learning and Data Mining, and Programing Data Paradigms. He is also supervising MS/MA dissertation at Northeastern University London. In past, he has supervised BSc and MSc dissertations at Queen Mary University of London.
