Your Residence Life team

Northeastern University London’s Residence Life team forms a crucial part of your experience in our partnered Residence Halls. We are here to support you, whether that be through running events that build community and help you make friends, providing mandatory one-to-one wellbeing support, or by assisting in emergencies.

Full-time university staff living at all partnered residence halls

The Residence Life team has over 20 full-time members of staff called Residence Life Coordinators (RLCs) living on-site with students at all partnered residence halls. RLCs are full-time members of university staff who are employed specifically to ensure their students’ wellbeing.

Community building and personalised support for students

The team organizes events and community-building activities for students. As a result, our RLCs really get to know our students as individuals during their time in our accommodation.

Our team is first-aid and mental health first-aid trained, experienced and well-equipped to help our students adjust to living independently in London and studying at university.

Programming and events

RLCs organize a wide range of events throughout each semester, beginning with Welcome Mixers and community dinners in the first few weeks of the academic year.

Our Welcome Mixers provide students with an exciting opportunity to meet other students they are living alongside and have proved to be excellent activities for forging friendships. Events at our halls have included pottery painting, quiz nights, football tournaments, movie screenings, and much more!

Dedicated Residence Life Advisers

Each student is assigned a dedicated RLC who is responsible for supporting their welfare. Each student has a minimum of three, mandatory, one-to-one meetings with their RLC per semester.

RLCs also provide a 24/7 on-call rotation alongside our Residence Life Leadership Team to support and assist students in the unlikely event an urgent incident occurs in one of our halls.
