Masters degree tuition fees and funding

Tuition fee scholarships

Tuition fees vary depending on the course you choose and whether you are a home or international student. We offer generous scholarships worth up to £3,500 towards your tuition fees. Please see the individual degree programme page for details.

Home student funding

The UK Government Postgraduate Loan (PGL) provides funding of up to £12,858 [CH1] per student for postgraduate master’s study in the U.K. and is available for students normally residing in England.

The PGL will be a contribution toward the costs of study and whether the loan is used towards fees, maintenance or other costs will be at your own discretion. There are separate loans for students domiciled in Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.

To determine if you are eligible for a Postgraduate Loan, please consult the Student Finance Zone. Applications for Postgraduate Loans for all our master’s programmes are now open.

Chevening Scholarships funding

Chevening Scholarships for international students are the U.K. government’s global scholarship programme, offering scholarships funding to emerging leaders all over the world to pursue a master’s degree programme in the U.K. They are funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations.

Chevening Scholarships are fully funded, covering the cost of tuition fees, flights and accommodation. Scholarships are typically awarded for a one-year master’s degree. Hurry, applications for Chevening Scholarship master’s degree funding for degrees starting in September 2026 close on 7th October 2025.

Home students are UK/Irish nationals or permanent residents who have resided in the UK or Ireland for the past three years. International students are all other students. Your tuition fee status will be confirmed in your offer letter.
